Got Questions? We've Got Answers.

How long does shipping from China to Uganda take?
Air freight typically takes 5–10 business days from our China warehouse to Kampala. Sea freight (LCL or FCL) takes 25–40 days depending on the port of departure and shipping schedule. Door-to-door delivery timing depends on the shipping method chosen.
Where is your China warehouse located?
Our warehouse is located in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China — one of China's largest trading hubs, close to most manufacturing centres and markets. Contact us for the full delivery address to give your supplier.
How do I send goods to your warehouse in China?
Simply provide your Chinese supplier with our warehouse address and your full name and phone number (so we can identify your goods). The supplier ships to our warehouse. We receive and inspect your goods, then you register the cargo online and upload your delivery note as proof.
What is a delivery note and why do I need to upload one?
A delivery note (also called a receipt or waybill) is a document your supplier provides when goods are delivered to our warehouse. It serves as proof that your specific goods arrived at SI CARGO UGANDA's facility in China. We require this to confirm receipt of your cargo before processing the shipment to Uganda.
Do you handle customs clearance in Uganda?
Yes! We have licensed customs clearing agents who handle all URA documentation, duty calculations, and cargo clearance at Entebbe Airport and Mombasa port. You do not need to visit customs yourself — we handle everything and keep you informed.
How are shipping costs calculated?
Costs are calculated based on the actual weight or volumetric weight of your cargo (whichever is greater), shipping method, and destination within Uganda. Air freight is approximately $5–$8 per kg. Sea freight (LCL) is $180–$250 per CBM. Contact us for a precise quote before ordering.
Can I import goods for my business?
Absolutely. We serve both individual importers and businesses of all sizes — from sole traders importing clothing to companies shipping industrial machinery. We can advise on the most cost-effective shipping method for your volume and frequency.
What types of goods can I import?
We handle electronics, clothing & textiles, household goods, machinery, building materials, food products (where permitted), cosmetics, and general merchandise. Prohibited goods include weapons, illegal substances, and items restricted by Ugandan law. Contact us if you're unsure about a specific item.
How do I track my cargo?
Once your cargo registration is confirmed, we issue a tracking number. You can enter this on our Tracking page. We also send WhatsApp/SMS updates at key milestones: warehouse receipt, departure, arrival in Uganda, and customs clearance.
Is my cargo insured during shipping?
Basic cargo cover is included. We recommend taking out comprehensive cargo insurance for high-value goods (electronics, luxury items, etc.). Our team can advise on appropriate insurance options when you register your shipment.
Where is your office in Uganda?
Our Uganda office and cargo collection point is in Kampala. Contact us for the exact address and directions. We are open Monday–Saturday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Deliveries to other towns in Uganda can be arranged.
How do I pay for shipping?
Payment can be made via Mobile Money (MTN, Airtel), bank transfer, or cash at our Kampala office. We provide a full invoice before shipping. No payment is required upfront until your cargo is confirmed received at our China warehouse.
